Liberty Asset Management was established in 1996 and is one of Ireland's leading independent financial firms. It is a wholly owned subsidiary of Friends First Holdings Limited; Friends First Life Assurance Company Limited is part of the same group. Friends First is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Eureko, a pan-European insurance group with a Standard & Poors credit rating of A-. As part of one of Europe's largest financial services groups, Liberty has access to resources on a European scale. Liberty has 36 employees in Ireland, among which there are 2 Directors, 2 Associate Directors, a consulting actuary, a compliance officer, a fund accountant in addition to 11 pension consultants and account managers, backed up by 17 very experienced pensions and administrative staff. It provides services on all aspects of financial matters ranging from pension management to structuring investment portfolios. Liberty acts as an independent corporate trustee for many clients utilising our sister company, Liberty Asset Management Pensioneer Trustee Company Limited – a company fully approved by the Retirement Benefits District of the Revenue Commissioners. Liberty is also approved as a Qualified Fund Manager for the management of Approved Retirement Funds and Approved Minimum Retirement Funds and it also includes a dedicated mortgage company, Liberty Mortgage Corporation.
In April of 2007 Allied Insurance Consultants became a part of Liberty Asset Management. The combination of both expert pension teams has created one of the most robust pension administration services and the largest pension consultancy firms in the country.
